Chicken Kabob

Ingredients


Chicken or turkey mince- 1 lb
Onions finely chopped- 1/2 cup
Fresh green coriander leaves loosely packed- 1 cup
Breadcrumbs- 1 cup
Egg-1
Shan- Fried Chops/ Steaks mix powder- 2 tbsp
Salt-1/2 tsp
Garlic Paste- 1 tbsp ( optional)
Ginger Paste- 1 tsp ( optional)
Oil- 2 tbsp

Method

Beat egg in a bowl. In another bowl, add the chicken or turkey mince. To this, add the beaten egg, the breadcrumbs, finely chopped coriander leaves, onions , salt and the shan powder. Mix all these ingredients well. Cover and keep aside for half an hour.
In a shallow pan, heat the oil. Take 1/4 to 1/2 cup of the prepared mixture and flatten with the palm of the hand to make a patty shape. Drop the patty in the oil. Cook each side on high heat for a minute. Then reduce heat, cover and cook for approximately 8-10 minutes or until cooked.
Enjoy with mint chutney.

  1. This is a recipe i that i learned both from my mother and mother-in-law. However, they both used a variety of spices, which i substituted with the Shan Masala.
