My mum always said " Begin something new, with something sweet." When i think of sweet, all i can think of is baked goods....cakes!!! Yup, cakes. We all have entered a new year in our lives and let's enjoy it with this Black Forest Cake. Little did i know that the name of this cake originates from a place in Germany called Black Forest, until i visited it and every other corner i would see a sign of black forest cake. Because of the fresh icing ( not butter)that goes into this cake, it is my favorite, not to forget the " C-H-O-C-O-L-A-T-E." Wishing all my readers a Happy New Year 2012. Whether it was just another day for you, or the beginning of a whole new year, hope you enjoy it to the fullest!
