Noodles with Lamb- Serves 4

This is a very flavorful dish. The process of stir frying the lamb or beef, coating it with soya sauce and finally serving on a bed of noodles makes it an all time favorite. 






Ingredients:


Spaghetti Noodles- 5 1/2 oz / 150 gms
Canola oil- 2 tbsp
Thinly sliced lamb or beef- 1 lb/ 450 gms
Garlic Cloves- 2 crushed
Leeks- 2 sliced
Soya Sauce- 3 tbsp
Water- 1 cup
Red chilli powder- 1/4 tsp ( increase if you like spicy)


Method:

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the noodles and cook according to the directions on the packet. Drain the noodles and reserve until required.
  • Heat oil in a preheated wok or skillet, swirling the oil around until it is really hot. 
  • Add the lamb pieces and stir fry for 2 minutes. Add red chill powder.
  • Add crushed garlic and sliced leeks to the wok and stir fry for another additional 2 minutes.
  • Stir in soya sauce, water and cook for 3-4 minutes stirring frequently until meat is cooked through.
  • Transfer lamb and noodles to a serving plate and serve.
