Alu ki Sabzi

Ingredients:

Potatoes- 1/2 kg- boiled and cut into small cubes
Chana dal- 1 tsp
Urad dal- 1 tsp
Mustard seeds- 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves- 8-10 leaves
Green chillies- 2 finely chopped
Onion- 2 sliced thinly
Salt- to taste
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder- to taste
Asafoetida- a pinch
Oil- 2 tbsp

Method:

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan.
When heated add mustard seeds, asafoetda, green chillies, chana and urad dal and salt, turmeric powder and red chilli powder.
Add potatoes and sprinkle 1/4 cup of water on it and mix it well.
If desired you can add tomato puree ( 2 tbsp) or 1-2 chopped tomatoes.
