Ingredients:
Minced meat- 100 gms
Channa dal- 15 gms
Onion chopped- 1/2
Ginger paste- 1/2 tbsp
Garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Bay leaf- 1
Cinnamon- 1 inch long
Garam masala- 1 tbsp
Salt- to taste
Red chilli powder- 3/4 tbsp
Egg-1/2
Breadcrumbs- 50 gms
Oil for frying - 100-150 gms
Method:
- Wash and clean the minced meat.
- Add to it channa dal, chopped onion, bay leaf and cinnamon. Pressure cook for 15 minutes with about 2 cups of water.
- Open the cooker and cook until the mixture is quite dry.
- Remove the remains of the bay leaf and cinnamon.
- Then grind the mixture in a mixer till it has dough like consistency.
- Mix with garlic and ginger paste along with salt, garam masala and red chilli powder.
- Beat the egg and mix it thoroughly into the above mixture.
- Shape the dough into round balls and flatten them. Coat with breadcrumbs and deep fry till golden brown.
- Serve hot with tomato ketchup or chutney.
TIP: I do not deep fry these kababs, instead i shallow fry them in a pan.
